My mother always told me if I pick or squeeze at my pimples, they would leave scarring.  We may never know if this is the true reason I have some mild acne scarring or if it was just from the acne itself.  But, acne definitely left permanent marks for me to deal with.  Thankfully, I am going to have an acne scar treatment called microdermabrasion.  This is a treatment that gives the skin a sort of scraping, polishing, and vacuuming.  It has a superficial buffing effect which smooths the surface and the suction cleans out any existing pustules. For acne scarring, it is only considered for the most mild cases and a series of treatments is usually performed.
