I love the story of how my friend joined the mormon church. She was a kid at the time living with her aunt and uncle over the summer. One day she became angry - I think it was because her aunt wouldn’t allow her to go outside and play because she kept getting hurt, so she decided to run away. She went a long way with her cousin tagging along to protect her and then this family discovered them walking along during dinner time. They fed them and brought them to a mormon church pageant in Palmyra. After she came home, she couldn’t wait to have her punishment so she could tell them all about the pageant.
