I remember writing an article a while ago about how domains were selling for millions of dollars eight years ago. They just read recently the domain sold for 3 million. The domain was candy.com which is clearly a good domain name. Now this individual probably just used a godaddy coupon to obtain a domain for less than eight dollars. They then years later sold it for 3 million.
That is amazing, however it is not the norm. But here is what is more interesting. The fact that name media sold over 40 domains for more than $2000 each somewhere 3000 and the most was 35,000 for one domain. These names were nothing special. One was sharethespirit.com see can see that even basic domains can still get thousands of dollars.
