Fly fishing in the great white north
Fly fishing in the great white north is amazing and only trips to upper Siberia remotely compare. If Salmon are your thing, the Silver Salmon at Tsiu River are legendary. Returning for spawning, they are fat, aggressive and fast. As with healthy salmon runs, there are also a lot of them. This is Alaska fly fishing on caffeine. When they run, you will be whipping them out and releasing as fast as you can. It isn’t for everyone, but it is definitely something worth experiencing at least once. Keep in mind you will be competing with commercial boats at the river mouth. Also, bears are very prevalent in this area so be prepared.
