Not long ago I dropped by for a visit at my son’s house.  He and wife, along with their ten-year-old son and five-year-old daughter, were busy playing wii games.  I was impressed that they had found something everyone could enjoy.  My son told me that, not only did everyone enjoy the competition, but many of the games gave them exercise, such as Wii tennis.  They had been buying separate games, toys, and DVDs for two years, trying to find something that would interest each person separately.  With Wii, he told me, they have one-stop entertainment and are actually saving money.  Instead of a long list of gifts, the kids now just ask for the newest Wii game.
