Last week I was planning the family vacation and my ten-year-old daughter asked what I was buying online.  I told her I was buying holiday insurance so we could enjoy our trip more.  After she left I thought back to our earliest trips and how many disasters we could have avoided if my husband and I had been wise enough to get a simple insurance policy before leaving.  We paid for cancelled reservations, lost luggage, and rental car damage before we figured out insurance would cover those problems.  Now I go to my favorite online merchant to get coverage as soon as we know where we are traveling.  It gives us a lot of peace of mind.
